<p dir="auto">What options should i specify at opera command line to start "just" the Opera browser  ?</p>
<p dir="auto">Opera version: 69.0.3686.57</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>Don't want</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>GPU</li>
<li>autoupdate</li>
<li>extension support</li>
<li>goodies, bloatware</li>
<li>flow</li>
<li>side bar</li>
<li>news  etc.</li>
<li>and all the bazillion 'zygote' crap that starts out of nowhere.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">I currently use an alias like this<br />
alias op='OPERA_AUTOUPDATE_DISABLED=1 /usr/bin/opera  --disable-gpu  --disable-update'</p>
<p dir="auto">Any one knows ? Any pointers ?</p>

<p dir="auto">as a test i start opera with a single window and there are four zygote starting by themselves. then there are some other with gpu rendering etc.</p>
<p dir="auto">It appears that the "tunables" shown in settings are "cosmetic" and serve the purpose of "eliding the UI" component but not the functionality and/or backend instances.</p>
<p dir="auto">Anyways, i dont think the problems of opera are going to get fixed until it is released as "free software" !</p>
