<p dir="auto">I've faced similar issue a while ago: i posted something and everything seemed ok but some time later i just noticed that my post was gone and there was no indication about how it happened.</p>

Helps me find the spammers quickly since they aren't sorted into "forums", but if I see a topic I might want to reply to I have to remind myself to look and see which forum it was from.</p>

Different forum software handles this function differently.</p>
<p dir="auto">The most common "View New Posts" feature just only shows a list of all threads with new posts where clicking a "View New Post" link or image by a thread jumps the user to the 1st new post in that thread.</p>
<p dir="auto">Older posts won't be hidden, but will be above the 1st new post in the thread unless if the 1st new post spawned a new thread page.  In case of the latter, older posts will still visible on the previous page.</p>
