I setup syncing between my two browsers via a single account.  Both accounts are logged in but I dont get the profile icon so I can't actually use the same tabs between the two browsers.</p>
<p dir="auto">Anyone know a solution to this?  Thanks.</p>

I assume its the strip on left with speed-dial, Whatsapp etc.  But none of these buttons allow me to open tabs from my other device - what am I missing?</p>

If sync is working properly, there is no icon - it only displays an icon if there is an error.</p>
<p dir="auto">To sync tabs, you need to make sure that both browsers have sync for tabs enabled, and you;ll need to make sure the Tabs sidebar item is displayed. When you click on that sidebar icon, a tab should appear with a list of all tabs on all synced devices.</p>
