The Opera process couldn't have been running behind the scenes for a second checking for updates.</p>

If so, I'm assuming it's opera.exe doing it.</p>
<p dir="auto"><a href="http://1e100.net" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">1e100.net</a> might be a Google DNS server and Opera might be looking up the a site you navigated to to see if it's malicious or not. Basically, the Google Safe-browsing feature maybe. If you goot the URL <code>opera://settings/privacy</code>, it might be controlled by the "Protect me from malicious sites" option. But, it could be something else Opera is querying the DNS server for.</p>
