I was requesting it since that time when the 'News' feature was implemented. They really don't think this looks weird, also they ignore requests about adding a toggle button in EasySetup menu to quickly show/hide speed dial tiles.</p>

I just want to see news and nothing else, and this huge empty space is a mistake. I believe this should be an easy fix for the developers...</p>
