Is there a way to import a bulk list of bookmark/links from a .txt file to either opera bookmarks or speed dial?

      Using O21+ for this.

      Thanks

        How big?

As far as I know, you could use input redirection on the command line to open every item in a list of URLs and then save them all to a folder, but expecting Opera to open a couple of hundred tabs at the same time might be a bit much ...

don't need to open the tabs, just save the bookmarks/speed dial

I was wondering (trying to be creative here) if you could convert the txt file to html per this discussion.

              http://www.techrepublic.com/forums/discussions/how-do-i-convert-a-txt-file-which-contains-html-code-to-an-html-document/

Or you might look elsewhere for an approach.

If you can make that txt file into html, then import the html bookmarks file into Chrome. (Go to Settings in Chrome, Users/ Import Bookmarks and Settings/ and choose from Bookmarks html file). When you have imported the html file into Chrome, then just copy the bookmarks file from the Chrome profile over into the Opera profile.
