<![CDATA[Opera cannot play videos on any site after the last update.]]>Opera no longer plays any videos except few on Youtube, I have reinstalled, recover and updated opera but so far the problem has'nt changed. Now im using chrome again and everything works fine. It's not a connection problem either, otherwise chrome wouldn't play any videos either.

I started experiencing the same problem recently with youtube videos.
But it happens only sometimes, and after refreshing the page video is playing fine.
But I'm using O58. Win 8.1x64

  • I don't remember such errors ~2 -3 weeks ago, but now I get these errors not often but regularly, mainly when I opens video from Google search results. Often I see the error and do nothing, after few seconds video starts playing

Referred to the operating system, I think that is not the problem since in Google Chrome the videos are seen correctly, and it is used in the same webkit. In addition, it only happens in some videos since the last Opera update. I have been an Opera user since 2002 and it has never happened.

Problem when trying to watch some YouTube videos.
It does not open the video, it loads the buffer but when trying to play, the player fails.

When you deactivate all extensions, the video does not play. The player fails.
When you open the video in incognito mode, the video does not play. The player fails.
When you activate Opera VPN, the video does not play. The player fails.

In addition, the YouTube player issues an error report similar to this: An error has occurred. Try again later. (Playback ID: OXGltQjjpYR797-g)

However it seems there's a bug in the new update and Opera team is working on it.
