what is a new profile ?

All your settings and data. They're stored in a folder called the profile folder. Goto the URL
opera://about
for the location. Whenever there's something wrong with Opera, you can test with fresh settings (a new profile) to test if the current settings and data you're using are messed up. The way of doing that that I mentioned won't interfere with your current settings. If you just wanted to wipe out all your data and settings for Opera and start like new, you could just close Opera and delete the profile folder and the cache folder as seen at
opera://about
.

Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder named "Opera Test" on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation", uncheck "import data from default browser" and install. Test in that Opera but don't enable Opera Sync, don't install any extensions, don't turn on VPN and don't turn on the adblocker.

Does it still crash in that Opera?

Make sure you have the newest Opera (66.0.3515.103 at the moment, builds before 66.0.3515.72 were crashy).
