Pretty sure I didn't have this problem before. Nothing has changed, at best the program may have updated itself. Blocking ads is not an issue on Pale Moon so far.
Is this yet another case of Google's "partners" making shady deals and giving back-pats to each other?

More likely just a bug. Or Google intentionally doing things to prevent blocking. Wouldn't surprise me. They intentionally placed code into YouTube before to make it slower on other browsers than Chrome.

In my case, it just magically started working again one day. Might have been after an update, I don't recall.

I am setting up a new PC and for some reason, Opera's built-in adblocker simply won't enable on YouTube. Where you normally have the blue shield, it is unfilled. Click it and it says "Adblock turned off for this site" with a button below "Turn on for this site" but clicking that button simply does nothing. No error, no change, it doesn't enable, it just does..nothing.
