Cisco Systems provides a H.264 binary module for free with the name "OpenH264".

Mozilla Firefox had add this plugin in your web browser to support the H.264 videos inside HTML5.

Why Opera doesn't integrate that free binary module?

I testet with "Opera Developer 24.xxx" under Windows 7 64bit.

Great, i hope this H.264 support will be integrated in the stable Version as soon as possible. 🙂

I'd go with "Opera Developer" (24+) which has more up to date code to test it.

So i can still stay with the opera browser and must not change to firefox or google chrome. Thanks good news.

P.S. The framework "GStreamer" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GStreamer supports also H.264 and is under the LGPL licence.

Is the latest beta version "opera next" with the revision number 23.xxx (on Windows 7)

There's already an experiment for it in the latest beta versions (obs: last time I tested it it crashed).
