I tried Opera GX but it's colors clash with every website that has a dark theme. Opera is by far my favorite browser and I want to continue using it if possible. But due to the colors of GX, I refuse to use it and if I can't get this fixed, I obviously won't be using an internet browser that uses up 60% of 16gb of RAM (over 8gb of ram for a net browser???)

This problem does not happen with google chrome, mozilla firefox or microsoft edge. When Opera is open, my total memory shows incorrectly as well.

In this picture, it shows Opera is only using 900mb of memory, however my memory usage is at 80%.

In this image, Opera is open and my memory is not showing correctly. On the left pane, under memory, I'm using 12.9gb out of 15.9gb of RAM, however in the right pane, my in use RAM is only 5gb, my available ram is only 3gb. I would also like to note, yesterday, my available was 4.4 and my in use was 4.4, equaling 8.8gb, I have 2x 8gb sticks, so that means it's reading both sticks. Today, my total is only 8.1gb, but in the past, it has shown more than 1 stick worth. So I don't think my memory is the cause (also, considering it only happens with opera, does not happen with Opera GX or any other browser).

After closing Opera, my usage drops to 22%, pretty much 60% change. 60% of 16gb is over 8gb that was just being used by Opera. Also note that even with only 8.1gb of ram, 900mb is NOT 60% of it. If I only had 8gb total ram and closed out an app using 900mb of ram, my ram usage should only drop by about 11%.

And with closing Opera, my missing memory returns.

Edit: Also note, this happens with any number of tabs open. 1 tab = 60% memory usage, 10 tabs = 60% usage. Just tested google chrome. 20 tabs open 20% ram usage. (60% for opera = 80% total, 20% for chrome = 48% total)

Welcome to the wonderful world of troubleshooting! If the memory issue does seem to recur in the future, see if you can capture Opera's Task Manager listing (Shift+Esc) while things are still misbehaving. It gives a better process description for each running browser process than does Windows Task Manager.

If you have 4 optional extensions installed, I would expect you to only have 14 (or 15) processes running in a TM.
I'm not sure. But for comparison, on my system when using either Opera or chromium-based Vivaldi at that website, the GPU process consumes only between 350,000 and 400,000 KB memory. This system has graphics acceleration enabled, but has an Intel internal graphics processor chip.

Discord is a voice(VOIP)/text/video chatting program that can exist as a downloaded program for computers as well as existing as a web-based and mobile app. It has been known to sometimes be involved with memory leak problems when co-installed with chromium browsers. Normally, unless you intentionally installed it, it shouldn't be present on your system.

This has only happened since I bought HP HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0xxx, 3.50 gigahertz AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics, Windows 10 Home (x64) Version 1809 (build 17763.914), Opera Browser Version:65.0.3467.78.
