<![CDATA[Unable to sync passwords]]>Hi, I have enabled syncing passwords on my opera devices ( laptop and android phone). Yet for some reason I still have to log in to all the sites manually whenever I try to visit a site for which I have a log in. How can I fix this?

Everything is now synchronized, even passwords.

I activated synchronization both in laptop and Android smartphone. I don't have any problem with open taps, bookmarks or flow: synchronization is perfect. But it's not the same with passwords: I cannot see from my smartphone passwords saved on my laptop and vice versa, only the ones saved locally. In fact, when I go to https://www.sync.opera.com/ to check my synchronized content, it's said that the number of synchronized password is zero.

Any idea of how to solve this issue?

I wouldn't be surprised if alot of these problems are Google injecting malware, so only their chrome works nicely on their phones.

My point is if passwords are synced and stored on phone then why I can not see them populated in site logins or password section of settings for a quite while. Why I have to wait 5 minutes or more for passwords to be filled? That's the problem for me.

Disconnect your phone from net and look at Settings > Passwords >Saved passwords. I'm sure you'll be welcomed by a blank page instead of passwords. May be it stores passwords data to phone but it may still need to communicate with opera servers to get encryption key. What I don't understand that Chrome doesn't have this problem but is build on same chromium base.

It seems that the issue for me has resolved itself. Now my phone is logging in on sites for which I saved my password on my laptop. I hope other people facing this problem receive the same stroke of luck or get a mod or opera employee to look at their particular case. I'll leave this topic open for others.
