Set up my Gmail account (both IMAP and POP to be sure) and couldn't log int o either. They said I was logging in from "suspicious app". I'm on the same IP address as I always am!!! It sure would be great to be able to turn off all the security worries on accounts you couldn't care less about. The internet is so hyper sensitive about irrelevant things and ignores what's really important. So I'm told to get more info here at this page:

So I changed the setting to allow less secure apps. Still doesn't work.
I regret every time I venture into Google's world. (Except for Flights and Maps. There they rule.)

But, if you do, you can set up a per-app password at https://myaccount.google.com/security for Opera Mail and use that password in Opera Mail instead of your normal one and that should work.
