<![CDATA[VPN in "Connecting ... " mode]]>Hi, recently I've had a problem with the VPN feature. it stays in "connecting" mode and never connects to the VPN.
i tried with another cell phone (LG K10) and i was able to connect to the VPN.
i have LG G2 mini with the Android version of 5
i tried reinstalling but nothing has changed.

I had a test on mobile network with Opera Mobile (latest version) and as I realized the problem is from Opera side (proxies or bypassing servers) not client side or regional! Opera VPN would not connect neither using VPN app or without VPN app (here I am using ExpressVPN connecting to German server then open Opera Mobile but there is problem to connect to Opera VPN servers! By disabling Opera VPN, I can reach YouTube and other sites that are censored here in Iran...). I don't think the problem be regional specifically about Iran!
I have "VPN is temporarily..." error about one week now on Desktop and Mobile with Opera...

Don't know but I don't think so. At least I don't see any reasons for them to use different servers.

When you said localised we assumed you meant local to our devices and not local to our regions.

Thanks leocg. I hope Opera is able to resolve this one soon. As browsers go, Opera is my favourite for desktop and mobile/tablet.

Do Opera Mobile and Opera Desktop use different VPN servers?

Opera VPN on mobile over the same ISP does not work and has not worked even though the data cache has been cleared, the browser has been uninstalled then reinstalled and the device restarted multiple times.

This started for me 4 or 5 days ago, as per with others with the same issue. I am in the UK, not Iran, not UAE and not China etc.. but the UK. My ISP is Virgin Media.

I originally thought the issue might have been caused by my adjusting the time on my tablet by setting it forward for game cheating purposes. Evidently this was an erroneous thought.

I believe the issue is with the VPN.

Opera VPN will connect by 1.1.1.1
This video can prove Opera VPNs blocked in Iran (definitely by Islamic regime) if still it is working on other ISPs they will close very soon internet.ir has page asked the users report all VPNs and proxies!, etc

There are so many reports of a now 4 day old fault with the inbuilt VPN on Opera Mobile that it is making Opera devs look incompetent when forum mods still say 'It works for us so it must be a problem on your side.'
