Download the installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder named "Opera Test" on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation", uncheck "import data from default browser" and install. Test in that Opera but don't enable Opera Sync and don't install any extensions.

It all started about 3 days ago. I havent changed anything within Opera. I have tried reseting to default and that hasnt helped.

Thanks for the clarification. I can't reproduce that. It's black text on white background for me. Maybe it's one of your extensions causing the issue. Or, did you mess with opera://flags? You might have to do what @nvmjustagirl suggested.
