"This build brings an important fix for all Netflix users. There should be no problems with watching movies using Opera. Let us know, if you still have any troubles.

In this beta release there is a flag (opera://flags/#opera-doh), that enables DNS over HTTPS (DoH) through Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 server. It is still experimental, but feel free to turn it on, and let us know about your experience.

Note, that if requests can’t be handled by Cloudflare, we will still fall back to your local DNS server. This is so you can still use Opera on internal networks, or behind firewalls.
This option is available when flag #opera-doh is enabled."

- DNA-78267 [Mac] Autoupdate loops in when autoupdate package already in $TMPDIR.
- DNA-79807 Maintain list of blocked elements per site, per list.
- DNA-81580 Speed dials’ colours change after Opera update.
- DNA-81525 Crash at opera::ParseFreedomProxyResponseHeaders(net::HttpResponseHeaders const&).
- DNA-81603 Crash at opera::StartPageController::DeactivateStartPage(views::WebView*, views::WebView*).
 
The Chromium has been updated to version 78.0.3904.21.

Some changes, fixes and improvements:
- DNA-81799 Ctrl + scroll the mouse wheel does not change the scale on the Speed Dial.
- DNA-81883 URL is not shown at the bottom of the screen, when hovering SD tile.
- DNA-81656 [Win/Lin] Change font weight of font in the address field to ‘normal’ (400 or 500).
- DNA-81732 [Mac][Catalina] Cannot maximize a window after it’s been minimized.
- DNA-81635 Crash at opera::StartPageEventSender::SendEvent(content::WebContents*, std::__1::basic_string const&, std::__1::basic_string const&).
- DNA-81737 Renderer crash on https://codesandbox.io/s/vanilla-ts.
- NA-81859 [Mac 10.15] Crash whenever navigating to any page.
 
Further design updates

Some time ago we introduced a redesigned interface, with features like light and dark themes, so that your browser could be adjusted to your mood, and help you focus on your browsing. Today we are furthering the R3 design, with a new dropdown list for search suggestions in the address bar.

The new dropdown list is displayed over the page, with an overlay mask for visual clarity. A suggested list of visited websites from your History, Bookmarks and Speed Dial, includes different icons, bolded titles and parts of links, so you can easily recognize what you are looking for.


 
Bookmarks in the sidebar panel

Small notice: you have to enable this feature in opera:flags#bookmarks-panel.

We are also happy to present a brand-new look and layout for bookmarks in the sidebar panel, which is now more accessible while browsing. You can quickly and easily get back to saved websites, or if you’re not bookmarks fan, those you frequently visit.

When you click on the heart icon in the sidebar, which opens the panel, you’ll see a layout, that reflects exactly what’s in the standard Bookmarks Manager view. In this sidebar panel view, you can easily edit, or delete bookmarks and folders.


 
Other highlights

We’ve fixed some issues for macOS Catalina users, such as: a crash, when navigating pages, or maximizing a window, after it was minimized.
 
Known issues:
- Focus issues, when navigating back and forward.
- Video pop-out freezes within seconds of being opened.
