everything was going well, i was ticking and unticking boxes. i was in the appearance menu box when suddenly all the words just disappeared!
not only in appearance but everywhere within the browser, bookmarks, etc. there are a few thing in their places such as some _ _ ... also +12 +11, all very sparse.
i must of accidently unchecked something i shouldn't of? surely that is the only explanation?
i wonder what it can be?
thanks

Do not use (or suggest) a site with ads for adult//dating sites or with too many ads, other than that I wouldn't worry about it. (I have an account on Flickr so I use them, but otherwise ... I have seen some sites used that have access problems and wouldn't recommend those either.)

Tell it to look at the folder ~/.opera, and delete the file operaaprefs.ini (while Opera is closed). When you start Opera, it will act like it is a new install ... except it will still have your bookmarks, mail (if it had mail to begin with), passwords, etc.

Opera has been known to do strange things if the system locale was changed - but that would not be a setting in Opera.

i uninstalled opera and then installed it again but it doesn't come back as a fresh intall, all my bookmarks are still there as well as this fault.
it would be difficult to change anything as like i said, the text has gone.
