Close down Opera.

In the profile folder, replace the "Current Session" and "Last Session" files with the ones in the old profile. Then, start up Opera and they should be there hopefully.

After that, you might want to make use of Session Buddy to save your sessions now and then. It also allows you to restart the last session if there's a crash.

Also, for extra measures of protecting your opened tabs, you can right-click a tab and choose "Save all tabs as a speed dial folder". Then, later on, if you lose all the open tabs, you can right-click that speed dial folder and choose "open all in tabs". Also, since speed dials are bookmarks in a way, you can goto the URL
opera://bookmarks
and export your bookmarks so that you have a backup of all those open tabs. And, whenever you wan to update the folder, just use "save all tabs as a speed dial folder" again, delete the old speed dial folder and then export your bookmarks again.
