<![CDATA[Syntax command line for starting Opera]]>I just switched from Opera beta to the public release. With betas, both on my desktop icon (Properties) and in a bookmark program I used, I had the following syntax for launching Opera:
\launcher.exe --alt-high-dpi-setting=90 -noautoupdate -- "%1"

First, this was carried over from Presta Opera to the current engine(s) maybe three years ago and I'm not sure it's needed anymore, given current options. But in any case, that syntax is not working now, perhaps because the quote marks aren't quite correct. Any suggestions?

So as I read your post, given the changes over time, the only thing needed now to account for my previously added syntax is renaming the autoupdate file. I do have zoom set for 80% (wish there were 5% options between 80 and 100).

There's an old post at https://forums.opera.com/topic/21568/opera-100-dpi-parameters-changed about that. It was for Chromium Opera, but it's not needed anymore. Neither is the Chrome alternative mentioned there. I don't see it in https://peter.sh/experiments/chromium-command-line-switches/.

You can get rid of the -noautoupdate too. Just rename opera_autoupdate.exe in the latest version folder in Opera's program files folder.

The "--" before the "%1" shouldn't be there unless that's something special in your bookmark program. The "%1" should only be there in the registry or maybe in your bookmark program command. It's not needed for a desktop shortcut.
