File a feature request or bug report, depending on whether you think the developers consider it a bug. (If they don't consider it a bug, then obviously a bug report would be ignored.)

I wouldn't mind it narrower myself, but I don't work for Opera and thus have no influence on their decisions..

That's sad, because the native Opera's sidebar is unusable -- it's too wide and occupies too much space on the screen.

So as far as I understand it's now impossible for this extension to work properly on the latest build of Opera.

If anyone has a solution please share it with us.
