But if i uninstall, and reinstall opera, with clean profile, and log in with my operalink, none of the previously saved cookies, paswords load for this installation.</p>

I'd also start with a new profile in Opera. Close down Opera and delete the profile folder. See the URL <code>opera://about</code> for the path. Then, start Opera, enable/log into sync, set what you want synced and then use Opera. Then things should work as long as nothing outside Opera is interfering.</p>

When I do a new installation, I get my passwords from Sync.</p>

Period.  If you install Opera in different computers and enable sync on all of them, your passwords will be available on all of them. Your should be at least.</p>
