<![CDATA[Something is blocking Opera from checking for updates…]]>Hello guys (and girls),
Even with my Bitdefender firewall turned off something is blocking Opera from checking for updates (i'm on Windows 10 1903 x64, my antivirus is Bitdefender Internet security 2019, Opera 60.0.3255.151).
Any ideas ?

I kept updating manually for the last 5-10 versions, but in every version "Checking for updates…" is stuck.

I think the nvidia driver is causing this, if you uninstall Bitdefender, you will not fix anything

"Checking for updates…" and after 10 minutes ... nothing 😅

You are using Windows 10? I still use Windows 7.
Worst comes to worst--just routinely check Opera's home website once a month for updates.
