Here's a summary of changes in the latest updates.

LVL 6 (core: 118.0.5461.120) – 2025-05-15

New

• Split Screen is now available to all users. Drag a tab down to either side of the screen to create a side-by-side view, or select two tabs and click Create split screen in the context menu.
• Tab Traces has been fully released. When 30+ tabs are open, subtle highlights will indicate your most recently used tabs. You can customize or disable this feature in Settings.
• Bluesky is now available to everyone in the sidebar. To enable it, click the three dots at the bottom of your GX sidebar, and select Bluesky in the Messengers section.

• The background contrast for tab emojis has been improved, making them more visible.

• New setting allows users to choose between neutral or colorized sidebar and window icons to improve readability, particularly in certain color themes (Easy Setup > Appearance).
• Tab Islands feature is now available for testing in the Early Bird.
• A widget displaying the number of blocked ads and trackers (when the built-in blocker is enabled) has been added to the start page and settings. This feature is available for Early Bird testing.

Improved

• Sidebar, toolbar, address bar, GX features panel, and address bar badges have received updated icons. These icons are optimized for low-resolution screens. Several icons have been redesigned for better recognition (e.g., extension icon changed to a puzzle piece).
• The close tab button's visual prominence has been reduced when not hovered.
• Default tab emojis have been updated (Early Bird).
• Alignment and functionality of tab traces and playing indicators have been improved for better visibility, regardless of interface line position (Early Bird).
