<![CDATA[[Solved]As of 14 May 2019 Outlook mail (i.e., Hotmail) no longer opens in Opera 36]]>Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it confined only to this low-end version of the Opera browser?

BTW, Outlook mail still opens normally in Firefox and Pale Moon.

"C:\Program Files\Opera\launcher.exe" "--user-agent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/74.0.3729.157 Safari/537.36"

Then, try again. You may have to clear cookies for live.com and such.

This if the problem is really caused by Opera.

It's a matter of choice: you can upgrade and use modern web or you can keep using an ancient system and see more and more sites stop working.

If I were using Opera 427 or whatever, I wouldn't be concerned about new problems with Opera 36. Along with the rest of the 30 percent of Americans who still use Windows XP, however, I don't appreciate being bullied into throwing money away on a new computer I'd be using for nothing except reading e-mail.

The fact that there are half a dozen browsers that will (1) still open Outlook and (2) still work with XP ought to at least disappoint Opera's tech maestros.
