At the welcome screen opera told me, that it is possible to activate a searchbar at the start screen. The advice was a long tip at the opera icon at the startscreen.

But nothing happens. I ony can drag the icon.

I also tried to install a widget. But there is no opera widget??

The background I want to do it is to use my private Seache enginge (DuckDuckGo)

Any hints?

I'm not sure if the OP is asking about the search bar on the Opera start screen or an Opera search widget for the Android desktop. AFAIK there's no Opera search widget. But the Opera start screen's default search engine can definitely be changed.

Opera settings > Default search engine. I changed it to DuckDuckGo.

In Opera I changed the default search engine to duckduckgo and I hoped it's also possible for the android desktop. But perhaps I missunderstood the message at the welcome screen.
