I'm a new opera user and finding it very good so far.

The only issue I have is in trying to import bookmarks and settings from edge, Opera reports that edge needs to be closed, but edge is closed and I have closed down any background processes etc, also closed in taskmanager. Can anyone shed any light on what is happening or going wrong with this process

Open Edge and press CTRL+X. You will be reddirected tot eh settings menu. Choose “Export to File” option and decide its exact location of file with Edge bookmaks on your PC. The file is saved in HTML format. I have not imported such file to Opera, but I used it for Chrome already adn everything is working. As I know Opera also except external files with bookmarks to ruin them in browser. You'll need to go into the Settings for Edge and to the place where you Export your favorites to a file (on your desktop). Then go into Opera's settings for bookmarks and import from that file (use the down arrow to get that menu choice).
