If so, I have several suggestions

  1. attach the sidebar and place there "bookmarks" - as you have already written, I use this bar myself and in my opinion it is very nice.
  2. Turn on the display of the bookmarks bar and paste the address into it opera://bookmarks
  3. look for a plugin in Add-on Opera or Chrome Web Store, although to tell the truth, I do not know if it will be because I personally see only those that display tabs in the "cloud" and not on the new tab.

What I mean is bookmark menu button, like the one that appears in Opera's sidebar. Firefox has such a button on the address bar that when clicked opens a dropdown list of saved bookmarks (not the ones on the bookmark bar). My question is if there is a way to add such a button to Opera.
