Updating Opera Version - Moans

Ok , i have a few computers and some have Vivaldi and Opera.on the same machine. Although I am on a slow connection Vivaldi always updates quickly, after check for updates button pressed. Opera on the other hand is slow, very slow. If I want to update it I go to Opera,help,about opera check for updates. This results in a minute or so delay then "an error occurred" message may appear. So i keep restarting Opera ,going through the update process.Then sometimes it says downloading updat,e gets to 100% and then stalls ! Restarting Opera a few more times eventually gets it updated, am I the only one who goes through this process on nearly every update ? I also tried going to https://get.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/58.0.3135.53/ which proceeded to download at just above dial up speed, it said it would take 2 hours ! In yet the full Vivaldi instal took a few seconds..

I also noticed this extremely slow download speed from https://get.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/, since a few weeks already.
Some downloads were so slow that I initially assumed that I had the Opera VPN turned on, but it was not enabled.
Downloads from other websites at the same time ran at the usual speed.
