<![CDATA[Portable/USB saves files to local system]]>The USB/Portable versions 56.0.3051.99 and 57.0.3098.116 (probably earlier versions as well) save several files on the local computer's user profile. If this access is blocked, Opera presents error messages and/or crashes without notice. These files/locations must be allowed within the user profile:
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\ICONCACHE.DB
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CACHES\*
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\1033\STRUCTUREDQUERYSCHEMA.BIN
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\1\*-*-*-*-*.TMP
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\1\CHROME_BITS_*.CRX
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\1\CHROME_BITS_*.CRX3
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\1\CHROME_BITS_*.CRXD
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\1\*\LICENSE.TXT
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\1\*\MANIFEST.JSON
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\1\*\PRELOADED_DATA.PB
*\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\1\*\_PLATFORM_SPECIFIC\WIN_X64\WIDEVINECDM.DLL

Expected result:
These temporary files should be written to the opera cache directory under:
*\profile\data

Running on Windows 10 (multiple versions) using the launcher:
launcher.exe --disable-update
opera.exe --disable-update --ran-launcher --started-from-shortcut
Note: I modified the launcher shortcut to disable auto-updates of Opera, but the files above are still written to the local disk.

One at least has something to do with a standalone installation. So, you might want to test 59 also.
