since a few days Opera is very slow for me. It doesn't matter what Version it is. Both Developer and Normal Edition are both slow. The Microsoft Edge browser can load pages as usual fast, while Opera times out everything. Disabling my Windows Defender Firewall or Bitdefender only helps temporary, as the issue gets back. I am using 58.0.3135.53 for Normal Opera and 59.0.3211.0 for Developer.

Thanks.

Bitdefender is somewhat known to mess with Opera's connections and ram usage. Can you completely uninstall it for a while (not just disable it) and see how things go?

All France had this issue, not sure if you live in France, though. But Opera does this everytime, not a DNS error but a Time out error. There are some rare cases in which Opera loads the pages as normal. I really dislike Firefox, but it's my only choice as of now.
