losing tabs while surfing

I have enjoyed using Opera but cannot continue. Using the web with many tabs opened and pinned, frequently I am unable to return to the screen with all my tabs listed and able to be used. I am constantly forced to re-establish the tabs I need. Any suggestion before I return to Firefox. Windows 10

@rbelsole @leocg Maybe it has something to do with "Delay loading of background tabs" being enabled in Settings (Alt-P)?

How? It disappears? Or it's there but you can't interact with it?

Any difference if you disable hardware acceleration?

I want to use Opera but I am now going back to Firfox as this is ridiculous and I have tried but failed contacting Opera about it

Disappears how? It closes? It's there but you can't see what's in it?
