<![CDATA[Permanently remove Alert number from tab bar]]>On the tab bar on the 2 tabs I have always open a number in parentheses appears. After web search it appears that it is the number of alerts from that site - as I don't use that facility I would like to remove it permanently as I find it annoying!
Any ideas

While Opera cannot suppress this number, Vivaldi can do so:

This forum, for example, posts your number of unread Notifications there, I'd imagine webmail sites would indicate unread mail in the same fashion.. If it is something like that the browser won't be able to do a thing about it - it is only displaying what the site told it to display. (Note that Notification for this site refers to that bell icon at the top of the page, not to desktop notifications.)
