I've seen several posts in internet, but the solution given is not available in Ubuntu, so how do I disable it? I remembered that during install, the apps asked me if I want it enabled, and I said no, and recently it started ask again, and the worst of all is the pop up shows every few minutes.

If you want it completely disabled then go to chrome://settings/content/location and slide the toggle to off. If you only want it off for one particular obnoxious website, click on the lock or globe icon in the address bar, then Site settings, then Location and choose Allow or Deny as you prefer. (As in, you could enable it for some particular website but disable it otherwise.)
