The Select input background turn gray without any css formating. See the following example:

I guess Opera 58 doesn't the problem.

Launch the installer, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation" and install. Test in that Opera (it won't interfere with your regular Opera) and report back if the issue is fixed there.
