Those all work. Also, I found (by accident) that holding down just the Shift key while middle clicking works as well.

I wish there were a way to do it without having to hold down a keyboard key. But Que será, será!

If that doesn't work, try those with left click.

Ctrl + shift with left-click does the trick at least. Just shift opens in a new window instead.

Yes, but it opens in the same tab. I want to open links in a new tab while saving the current tab.
