Also I see that it requires a desktop/pc version as well, make sure you have the program installed on your machine. That could be another reason why Chrome opened when you tried to add it.

When I clicked on the resulting file, Chrome came up, trying to download something - it wouldn't tell me what. I've let 1Password know. Thus my hope for an addon.

It's not worth it as it takes faaaaaaaar tooooooo long (months) for Opera addons to be approved, it's pointless submitting them. This is disappointing when it takes minutes to get approved on Chrome and Firefox.
