<p dir="auto">, which is what Opera 52 does when the --multple-tab-selection flag is disabled.</p>

It's been that way since Opera 52. That's why alt has to be used instead. You use to be able to disable multiple tag select to get shift + click back to closing tabs, but the flag <code>opera://flags/#multiple-tab-selection</code> is missing and I don't see a setting in <code>opera://settings</code> to disable tab selection (not even if you disable <code>opera://flags/#new-md-settings</code> to use the old <code>opera://settings</code>).</p>
