<![CDATA[Mouse pointer does not click the same spot (Mouse shifting down) on opera for Mac]]>Does anybody know hoy to solve the problem of the pointer moving down from the position on the pages? You click somewhere and the position is not the same as the mouse pointer. It is very anoying and can only be fixed closing Opera and opening the same page again.

I am using Opera for mac 55.0.2994.44

I love Opera but it seams I am forced to use another option. My solution to this has been to duplicate the tab.

Try refreshing your tab with the refresh button next to the 'Start Page' button.

I have this problem as well. It happens to me if I bring my cursor into the apple menu bar (where it says Opera, File etc.) and when I pull my cursor out from there, my screen has moved down. I do not know why this happens, but the only noticeable solution is to just refresh the page.

This has been happening across many versions of Opera and Mac OS. I have seen the same behaviour on my Windows 10 laptop.

After a while particularly in full screen or split screen mode the page will move up by differing amounts. That is the top of the page will become cut off by the amount it is moved up. Sometimes a whole line or 2 or part of a line (1/8 to 1/2 inch).

When this happens i must click below any link or select below any text by the amount the page is 'moved up'.

If i refresh the page the same behaviour exists. The only solution is to restart Opera.

This really interferes with workflow. This does not happen btw in any other browser including Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

To give you an example of how annoying this is on Facebook the top (blue bar) with notifications, account settings etc. is completely off-screen. Normal web browsing is also ruined by the hit & miss nature of selecting the required menu option/ link. Selecting text is even harder! I have browsed the same sites with Safari no problem but do not want to ditch Opera as also use it sychronised with my mobile. I am using Opera version 56.0.3051.52 Mac Seirra 10.12.6

Here's the detail in my situation: It only occurs when Opera is Fullscreen mode (well who doesn't use Opera in Fullscreen mode?), whenever I move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen, the top bar iOs menu appears (the bar is hidden in Fullscreen mode on my Mac), and when the bar goes back hidden, Opera's current window is shifted up, anyone with this problem can notice the little white bar at the bottom of Opera's current window, hence the mouse shifted down.
My only solutions atm: Try switching between tabs, it worked before, I'm not sure about the latest version of Opera.
or simply close and reopen the current tab which has the problem, no need to quit Opera.

*note: the shifted mouse distance can expand by the number of times you move the pointer top the screen, which makes the shifted distance bigger.
