It allows installing of Chrome extensions.

I've downloaded Neater Bookmarks to Chrome because the download link was not active in Opera, now I'm trying to find the app folders of Chrome and Opera on my HD, but to no avail.

How could I get Neater Bookmarks to work in Opera, please?

If you mean saved sessions, they are imported along with bookmarks, either when you install Opera 15+ with the importing option or when you run Opera launcher with the option --import-presto-profile, to force the import. The result is not visible on the Bookmark bar, but an extension like Neater Bookmarks shows the node Other bookmarks, containing imported sessions as folders with bookmarks.
