I think it would be nice if a future version of Opera supports the WebUSB function that let th Websites access to USB peripheral through the browser (already available on Google Chrome: link to he API documentaiton)

On the same website (https://python.microbit.org/v/2.0) using Chrome, a windows appears asking to connect the device.
My OS is OSX El Capitan (10,11,6), Opera version is 72.0.3815.378

It might work there. I'm not sure if Opera supports the UI to allow/deny when a site asks though.
