Is this problem inherent with having a VPN?

first and foremost, big thanx for the VPN guys!
so, before i can state my problem, i think i need to ask you a question or two first.
am i correct in saying that a VPN masks your location,....amongst other VPN benefits. In other words it changes your location?
if this is so, am i correct in deducing that its my Opera VPN that ultimately causes my web pages to often display in another language?
if so, then what is the workaround for this problem?

To a degree. Unfortunately, many websites presume that you're using a VPN because you're in a foreign country and would need one to reach them. For some reason, Google was sending everyone using Opera'S VPN to their Ukrainian site, as the example we are most familiar with.
