I'd love to have Safari's pinned tabs behavior in Opera. The thing is I want to keep pinned tabs opened, no matter if I click on a link or if I use the address bar (I use that a lot when I have to search something on Google, for instance). They're no use to me if I do not have that option.

Thank you very much!

I'm in the middle of crossing over from Firefox and this feature is certainly necessary.

There should definitely be at least two kinds of pinned tabs - one that doesn't leave the domain and one that doesn't leave the URL.

Well, there is no such feature in Opera.

I have www.opera.com in a pinned tab. It shrinks down to the favicon, which is nice. Now I want to search something on Google, which I do by simply writing in the address / URL bar, but most of the times I forget to do so in a new tab. So when I click enter, www.opera.com is no longer the pinned tab, because Google "replaces" it.

In Safari, if you change the tab's URL and hit enter, it opens the new one in a new tab automatically so you don't "lose" your pinned tab. I see no point to pinned tabs the way they're implemented in Opera (or even Chrome).

Thanks!
