Flashing messages

I have read the rules but cannot tell you what the flashing message is as I can't read it. I have seen the word "connection" and suspect it is telling me that my connection has been lost. This isn't true as I can continue accessing other pats of the forum.

I have the same problem (win 10, Op 53) and it's been going on for 4-5 months now.
Whenever I'm on this forum every minute or so an orange message pops up for a split second in the lower right corner, telling me that my connection may have been lost. Something in that vein, I can't read it because it's too fast. -

@ronn Where do you see such messages? When do you see them? How to try to reproduce the problem?

I see that message only on this forum but I never lose the connection in the first place.

@sgunhouse
Sure, but I see this message only here at the forum site, for about 6 months now. And I don't see any reason why I should lose the connection to the forum every 30 seconds like clockwork. -

I reckon you cannot help that.
Your connection to the server consists of several links: like your device to your local network, yadayadayada; the path will differ for different types of connection, different locations...
Well, Opera guys would know better yet I presume connections to many servers may get lost the same way, but the Opera browser and Opera servers together can make it known to the user.
By the way, don't cry about it if it's a fraction of a second - I lose that for minutes here sometimes. -

I see this message only when the Opera VPN is enabled. In the latter case I get that message presented on all forums using the same forum software as this one does.
Maybe it has something to do with how that forum software is working (and the VPN).
