Okay, so middle-clicking something opens 3 tabs in Opera.

If you're middle-clicking a speed dial entry or link in Opera and Opera opens that link 3 times, has it always done this or did it just start happening recently? We can test if you say exactly what you're doing.

If things in Opera work fine and it's in a different program that you're middle-clicking a link where that program launches Opera because Opera is the default browser, then it's probably an issue with that program.

I'd also take a look at the mouse settings in Windows for your mouse and make sure the middle button is indeed set to middle-click and not something else. Maybe check that you have the newest driver for your mouse.
