<![CDATA[How do you export bookmarks et al. to a file for import into another browser?]]>Hello everyone, I'm greenstra67 and just joined the Opera community. My need to use a different browser at work became necessary the other day and I had tried Opera in the past but it wasn't quite 'there' yet. I have been checking it periodically and after last check was really impressed, in fact it actually saved me a lot of work by it's ability to import my bookmarks, settings and bookmarks on the bbar from Firefox. I'm running Win 7 64-bit and noticed that after one of my updates I had both 32 and 64-bit FF installed. So I removed the 32-bit version and with it all of the bookmarks and settings which I thought would appear in the 64-bit version which I thought I was using. Un-installing the 32-bit version did get rid of the "mediatab.tv streaming" malware annoyance that piggy-backed in when I wasn't paying attention. So now fortunately all the bookmarks, settings etc are still there, only in Opera. I've tried going through the bookmarks import but the only choices are from Firefox and IE. I have version 53.0 which added the means to do that I just can't seem to find instructions that go with this version. I would very much appreciate it if someone that knows Opera could let me know how to do this. Thank you. ~greenstrat67

I found and exported the bookmarks folder. It created a separate folder that I can drag one at a time unless there is a faster way. And there wasn't an option for settings but I can always restore whatever it is when I encounter it. Thanks again.

To open the bookmarks manager page, click on the heart icon in the sidebar.

You can also use Menu > Bookmarks > Export bookmarks.
