I downloaded the Opera browser and it installed successfully, but when I try to run it, it won't open. No processes are made in task manager, it just won't work.
If I boot Windows in safe mode, the Opera browser opens and is able to surf the web.
I use Windows 10 x64

Temporarily create another user account in Windows, log into it and try Opera there. You can try with a normal user account and or admin. If it works in another user account, it's most likely an issue with just your current user account. Then, you can investigate from there.
Also, I'd download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on you desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation" and install. Try with that Opera just to see if it makes a difference.

@op05 I have your exact problem, opera is unusable in latest windows builds and nobody can give a tip anywhere how to get rid of this dying browser, yet alone sugest a fix. almost like dealing with avg or microsoft. Opera to me when i install something and a double click on the shortcut yealds no response is the perfect place to launch an attack from , because the fresh installation is dead.

I am in a similar situation on my new desktop. (Win 10). Opera will not start, even in safe mode.
I have not changed or added anything on my new computer other than the regular automatic Windows updates.
Last week it worked. Now, nothing. Very disconcerting.
Are others having this problem?
