Cannot find the option to open links in new window in Opera settings. I want the browser to do so by left-clicking on any link. How can I enable this setting?

No, NOT through right-click context menu.
No, NOT by special key combinations or mouse gestures.
Just by left-clicking and by default. In the newest Opera version.

      Thanks.

@who-is I don't think there is such option in Opera.

Highly likely there's not, I agree. But it was there before (so, I had my doubts: maybe, I didn't search well). Why was it removed? Firefox has this option. It would be great if devs would bring it back to Opera.

@who-is Opera Chromium never had such option.

I have a similar issue in Opera 53. In Fastmail, if I click on a link, it now opens the URL in both in a new tab, as well as in the current tab, which necessitates using the '<' to get back to the e-mail. This never happened in earlier versions and I have tested it in other Chromium browsers (Torch & Brave), as well as in Firefox and Vivaldi. Opera 53 is the only browser exhibiting this behavior.
