I have just bought a new Windows 10 laptop. I downloaded Opera, of course.

I signed in and sync'd data.

The PROBLEM: The layout of folder, bookmarks bar and speed dial are all some much older version of my set up: My old PC, still here has my preferred latest layout but the new laptop is syncing data from around a year ago.

On each laptop Opera is up to date. I tried logging out and logging back in. I tried un-installing Opera from the new PC and reinstalling then re-syncing. I tried this multiple times. Still, it syncs to the same - out of date - point (I'm guessing but possibly about a year ago.)

I tried logging out of my laptop and loggin back in - both while logged in to my Opera account and logged out. Still, the new computer will only sync to the out of date data.

Can anyone offer any insight or method to 'force' Opera on my Windows 10 machine to match the data (sync correctly, I assume) on my older machine (that is still here, luckily.)

Without this, there is no reason to continue and I have far too much content to reorganize manually, piece by piece.

I agree, Opera desperately needs a button to force a manual sync in situations like this. There is a delay in syncing between android and pc with me most of the time but, it does have current sync data when it does sync. Resetting sync will erase everything so I don't think that's what you'd want to do. I would just keep trying logging in and out and hope for the best. It sometimes makes me log out and back on several times before it'll sync anything. It's a pain when that happens, but sync does eventually work.
