<![CDATA[Alt+Space doesn't open new search bar, but Linux context menu]]>Hello, Opera dev team! I like the new search feature you implemented in 52.0.2871.97. However, on Linux, Alt+Space opens a program's Minimize/Maximize/Move.....Close context menu.

Workaround: Ctrl+Space to open Tab search, then press Tab to switch to search engine search.

Change the keyboard shortcut in the options menu:

  • Click the O>Settings>Browser>Shortcuts>Configure Shortcuts.

There are two search shortcuts already:

  1. Open and close instant search
    • alt+space
  2. Open and close search for open tabs
    • ctrl+space

It is unfortunate that the two types of search can't be combined like in Vivaldi and other browsers
