Why is it that Opera is ALWAYS not a part of this list on this and many bank sites??

Because it is not from the United States. This list essentially represents the US browser market and some sites choose to ignore everything else.

But I think once you have the normally accepted user agent (Chrome, IE, Firefox etc) enabled in using it in while list mode for the sites you need it for, you are good to go.

And the first one you pointed me to is EXCELLENT.

https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/user-agent-007/ does just that. But, it's using older strings and needs an update.

Would be nice if once you changed the user agent string it would apply ONLY to the site you are on automatically...but pickers can't be choosers

In Opera 12, you could in fact mask a specific site so that Opera seemed to be IE or Chrome, but not in current iterations of Opera.

"C:\Program Files\Opera\launcher.exe" "--user-agent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36"

But, that'll affect all sites and you'll have to keep it up to date. And, it'll only be active when you launch Opera via the shortcut.

Or, you can use a User-Agent Switch extension like this one, which seems to be updated frequently, to mask as Chrome for Windows. In options, you can switch to white-list mode and just enable it for usps.com if you want.

There are other user-agent extension, but either they don't offer a per-site option or they haven't been updated to use newer user-agent strings. Some have options for you can add your own updated one though.

It's a shame we have to do this stuff, but unless you can make them change their minds, you just mask and move on.

Opera is absolutely a fully functional browser and has a considerable number of users.
